Cristo de la calle es un apostolado que nació hace ya varios años y está extendido por varias localidades de España, entre ellas, Barcelona. Aunque los inicios fueron complicados, en Barcelona hay un grupo con más de 90 voluntarios. “Al principio preparábamos bocadillos en una cocina que hoy es el estudio de grabación del coro del Regnum Christi. Éramos solo siete personas”, explica Víctor Sanjuan, responsable de este apostolado en la ciudad condal. Antes de su última salida, los voluntarios tuvieron un breve encuentro con el obispo auxiliar de Barcelona, don Xavier Vilanova (en la imagen), pero lleno de significado para todos. Victor explica que en él Dios les confirmó que ya “no somos un grupo improvisado de jóvenes que lleva comida a los pobres: Dios nos quiere apóstoles”.
